Elm: 830 to 1320 Janka - a natural blonde
Grand Antique Elm is a mix of Grey and White Elm that may include a smattering of Red Elm; creating a blonde palette with nutty brown accents and a hint red highlight.
Other traits often present include beautiful ribbons of shimmering depth; reflective qualities of quarter-sawn that are also found in Grand Antique Ash and Basswood. You'll see knots, insect marks and occasional signs of previous use that add to its natural beauty. The interesting flat-sawn grain pattern is more oval, elliptical, or hyperbolic in shape. The wood is hard and durable with a color that helps lighten any room. It's great for high traffic areas and, it goes great with cherry.
